  1. Thank you for allowing us to experience a beautiful ending in our home for our beloved Beckett. Our 12 year old golden was diagnosed with bone cancer .

Dr. Alicia was available after our initial meeting to comfort us thru the difficult time . When do you know it’s time to let go? How will you guide the process?
Alicia has a calm disposition and gently navigated us thru every step .
The sun was shining, the event was peaceful and at no time was it rushed . The pace was up to us and the follow up was just as professional .

I have been recommending the compassionate heart to everyone. Just lovely

    1. Hi Jill!! Thank You so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. It was such an honor to help your family with Beckett. From our first conversation, I sensed your passion for his well-being and comfort. He was so blessed to be a member of such an adoring and dedicated family. May he rest in peace and there’s no doubt he will always be in your hearts. Thank you again, Jill. – Alicia

  2. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Lucy for being so sweet and caring during the passing of our 15 year old cat Angel. Dr. Lucy came over right away and was so caring and compassionate. She talked us thru everything and was so gentle and sweet with Angel. Dr. Lucy was amazing and truly cared and felt our pain during this very difficult time. We will never forget her and our Angel.

  3. We’ve been through the pain of having to put down 4 legged family before and it’s always so hard to keep your pet calm at the vet. We heard about this service through a neighbor and decided to try it when we had to put Bogart down. Dr Sondra was such an amazing person to help us through the process and made sure my old guy left peacefully and gracefully. I’m telling everyone we know about her and this company. Losing a dog is never easy, but we are comforted by knowing he left us surrounded by his family and relaxed in the comfort of his own home. Thank you Dr. Sondra, you are such an amazing person and we are forever grateful to you.

  4. Thank you for your very kind feedback, Engelman Family. Bogart was blessed to have such an adoring family. Please accept our sincere sympathies.

  5. Thank you, Dr. Hanus,

Letting our dog pass way at home was the last thing we could do for her. Thanks to you, it was also one of the most comforting things we have ever done for her. To see her gently fall asleep in our own bed, no longer suffering, with us by her side and surrounded by the world she knew, was a truly fortunate experience. I cannot imagine letting her go in any other way. We are so happy we found you.

    Thank you for everything.

  6. We had Dr. Elson come to our home in Carlsbad July 3rd to help us with our decision to let our beloved CJ dog finally rest pain free. She was without a doubt the most caring, concerned and professional vet I ever encountered. CJ was so comfortable with Dr. Elson and he did not have any stress or appear to have any pain during the process. She explained everything to us so we felt we were making the right decision. CJ left today and he was in his favorite place with the people who loved him and he loved. He will be so missed.

  7. Thank you for your services. The doctor was very caring and compassionate. Our dog went very peacefully and we were able to pet and hold her till the end. What a wonderful service you are providing. Thank you so very much!!

  8. When you invite someone into your home for a powerful and intimate moment such as saying goodbye to your dog of 16 years, they need to be the right person. Dr Sondra Elson was certainly that person. She was so warm and compassionate, really embodying the name “Compassionate Hearts”. My family and I could not be more grateful for her professionalism and the care that she took with both us and our dog Briskit, nor could we be more relieved that we chose her to be there with us for such a huge moment. Thank you so much Dr. Elson!

    1. Thank you, Julia. We feel so honored to help. May your Briskit Rest in Peace. Please accept our deepest condolences.

  9. As our regular vet was out of the office, his assistant recommended Dr. Sondra Elson. Our 15 year old long haired chihuahua Charlie could not have been in better hands. The ability to say goodbye in our home was more special than I could say. Being allowed to hold him in my arms after his first injection, while my wife fed him his last treat of smoked salmon, at Dr. Elson’s recommendation, clearly explains the level of compassion Charlie received on his last day. Though I write this through tearing eyes, I am so very glad we were referred to Dr. Elson. On behalf of Charlie, my wife and I, thank you so very much.

    1. Dear Kevin and Lorraine, Please know our hearts are with you as you grieve the loss of your Beloved Charlie. Thank you for your warm words of gratitude. May your sweet little one rest in peace.

  10. Dr. Sondra Elson made this hard process as bearable as it could possibly be with her kind, comforting, and gentle personality. I am thankful for her understanding and flexibility to come and help Smalls pass on when his body couldn’t keep him comfortable any longer. I can’t imagine anything better than having in home euthanasia and the comfort and closure it brings.

    1. Thank you, Brooke, for your kind feedback. We are thinking about your family as you grieve for your Smalls. May he rest in peace.

We agree. In-home euthanasia is such a gift for our littlest, fluffiest family members. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help. Warmly, Alicia

  11. Last week, I had to say goodbye to Liska. She had been in our family for 12+ years. This little schnauzer had so much personality. As she got older, her health went down some. Last year, I lost my wife, and my kid moved out of state for college. It was just Liska and I. I had a dog nanny who stayed with her when I was on the road, because I didn’t want to stress her out with a kennel, or someone else’s home. When the time came, I was reluctant to take Liska to her vet, because of the stress of the car ride. So, I called Compassionate Hearts.

Dr. Alicia came out the next day, and spent nearly two hours with us. The business side (payment) was taken care efficiently and discreetly. The rest of the time was spending Liska’s final moments in peace. I absolutely know that she was at peace and had a stress free transition.

Care was also taken regarding what Liska could be cremated with. I know that she would want her favorite toy, a dead soccer ball. Dr. Alicia made sure that happened.

Thank you so much, Dr. Alicia. You brightened a sad day, and turned it into a beautiful day.

    1. Thank you, Dave. Your Liska was such a sweet treasure! I truly enjoyed seeing her frolic in the videos with her dead soccer ball and hearing about the life she shared with your family. May she Rest in Peace. My deepest condolences for the loss of your two Beloveds: Your dear wife and Liska.

  12. Dr. Sondra,
From the bottom of my heart, I just wanted to say thank you. I was struck by how empathetic you were with my beloved Silvio. My brother and I were simply terrified that he would be so frightened and in pain but thanks your compassion, I know that he is at peace. There are no words to express my gratitude for being there with us at our hour of need.

Thank you for taking what was a horrible event for my baby and turning it into something peaceful and kind. And also, thank you for your card-it will be put with my Silvio’s possessions when I receive his ashes.

    1. Dear Brianna,
Thank you for your kind words of gratitude. May your sweet Silvio rest in peace. Please accept our deepest condolences as you grieve the loss of a beloved member of your family.

  13. Dr. Jessica returned our call within 20 minutes on a Sunday morning. After a brief discussion explaining options and procedures we agreed to an appointment 2 hous later. Dr. Jessica arrived on time, was very compassionate, thuroughly explained how things would work, what we could expect. She asked how much time we would like to take between and during the procedures. It was very evident that Dr. Jessica sincerely cares for both the animals and the humans that she is helping through a difficult time. If I had to dream up a Dr. and course of events I could not have come up with anything better.
    Simply outstanding.
    Ous sincere thanks.

    1. Thank you, Steve. We feel so honored to help during such a difficult time. Please know your family is in our hearts as you get thru this difficult time. We are here if there is anything else we can do to help.

  14. Dr Sondra,
Kevin and I want to thank you for your compassion and professionalism when it was time to say good bye to our beloved T. The thought of having to take T out of our home when she was so uncomfortable was not an option for us. You arrived on time, were honest about what we should expect and allowed us to feel like she was the most important part of the process. Even allowing our little Daisy to be present and close allowed her to let go as well. Thank you for this gift as we helped her pass on. It was so peaceful.
    Kevin, Keri and Daisy.

  15. Jessica, you are a blessing to anyone who you can help. I felt so much at ease during the whole process, and you made us feel so comfortable. I can truly feel in my heart that you were made for this, and appreciate the time you let us have with my dear Coco.

  16. I want to thank Dr. Harris for helping us through an extremely difficult time. When I spoke to her on the phone I knew she was the person I wanted to help us. Dr. Harris was so compassionate, caring and empathetic. She made a difficult time and decision more bearable. We didn’t have much time when Dr. Harris got to the house as Penelope was in distress. Dr. Harris still was able to explain the process to us so we understood what would happen the entire time.
Thank you Dr. Harris. We will always be thankful to you for helping through this difficult time.

  17. Dr. Alicia made a very horrible day as calm and bearable as it ever could have been. Our cat, Tiggy, had kidney failure and it was time to let him go. Dr Alicia explained everything that was going to happen and treated Tiggy as if he was the most important thing to her as well as to us. He would stress having to be put in a carrier and take the car rides to the vet over the years. We didn’t want to put him through that, so it was wonderful that she was able to come to his home and make the process as calm and painless as possible while my Mother held him. We are so happy with the entire process. Dr. Alicia also returned Tiggy’s ashes to us today in a lovely wooden box along with his paw print in clay and a lock of his beautiful long hair. We are so grateful for her help in this difficult time.

  18. There simply aren’t enough words to express my gratitude to Dr. Sondra Elson. Unfortunately, the time had come to put my beloved Samantha (Sammy) to rest. She was my companion and my best friend for almost 19 years. Making that phone call was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my adult life. Dr. Elson arrived at my home and within seconds she had made a connection with Sammy. She allowed me time to say goodbye without any pressure or time constraint. Sammy was given a beautiful and peaceful end to her life. Although my heart will forever be broken, I take comfort in knowing that she’s with all our fur babies who have crossed over the rainbow bridge. A huge Thank You to Dr. Sondra Elson.

  19. Dr. Jessica made this whole process as comfortable and painless as possible. When she arrived, she was compassionate and allowed us to proceed at the pace we were satisfied with. This was one of the hardest things I had to do, as I was saying goodbye to my little girl way too soon. The fact that I could say goodbye at home has made the grieving process easier and allowed for my other dog to get closure. I can’t thank Dr. Jessica enough for allowing my little girl to go to her reward with the dignity of a lady she showed in her life. I will seek her service for my other girl when it is her time.

  20. I absolutely recommend Dr. Jessica and Compassionate Heart. Our sweet 13 year-old Maltese was losing her battle with cancer, and her quality of life was clearly suffering. She always feared the vet, shaking uncontrollably every time we went. We did not want her last moments to be spent in fear, so we knew since her diagnosis we wanted to pursue home euthanasia. Dr. Jessica arrived promptly, and was extremely kind and caring. She walked us through process, what would happen and what to expect, and made sure we moved at a pace that was comfortable for everyone. She was gentle and loving with our girl, and she passed quietly without any fear on her favorite spot on the couch. Dr. Jessica made one of the worst days of our lives a little more bearable. We received a clay paw print, and a kind follow up note. It takes a special kind of person to do this work with such compassion, and Dr. Jessica is that person. We are very grateful to have found her.

  21. We can’t thank Dr. Jessica enough for coming so far on such short notice during a holiday weekend to help our sweet girl, Lillie, transition. After living well with cancer for three years our elder dog succumbed. Her spiral down was quick and we were very worried that because of the holiday we would not be able to find anyone to come to our home. The thought of having to take her to a vet hospital where she always felt anxious was so concerning. Dr. Jessica came and her calm was palpable. Our younger “guard” dog was upstairs but did not produce his usual warning barks when she came through the door. And Lillie who was always wary of strangers seemed to know right away that Dr. Jessica was there to help her. Her kindness, patience and clarity really helped all of us through this very difficult time. She gave us time to bring our other dog down, stepping outside to give us all a chance to say our final goodbyes. She clearly understands how hard this is and how important it is to provide the care that will limit the dog’s suffering as much as possible. Lillie was surrounded by her loved ones and an earth angel and we couldn’t imagine it any other way. Thank you.

  22. Dr. Sondra Elson was/is the best! It’s a bit weird to write a glowing review about something so sad, but I think that’s testimony to how good of a service this is for a very difficult time. From the beginning, Dr. Sondra was professional and responsive, responding to my email request for information within hours and with sincere empathy. She was available on short notice and punctual for our appointment sending a lovely card a short while after the service and even checking in with a follow-up call to make sure we were doing well. We loved Benji very much and I think I did right for one of my best friends by choosing Compassionate Heart for this tough decision. Thank you, Dr. Sondra!

  23. We said good-bye to our beautiful boy, Jake, after 10 years of being such a huge part of our family. He fought a difficult battle with lymphangiectasia for over a year and had recently been declining rapidly, so we knew time was limited for the once strong, energetic, playful pup we had adopted at about 2 years old.

Our past experiences of having to drag our terrified large dogs to the vet to experience their last moments was more than I could bear. . . ….again. Then I found Compassionate Heart and Dr. Jessica. Thanks to her kind, caring and empathetic manner, Jake’s passing was peaceful and stress-free. She explained the process clearly, so there would be no surprises. He simply went to sleep “with a little medicinal support” per Dr. Jessica. As difficult as those last moments were emotionally, I’m so grateful that Jake was in his home, surrounded by his people. I highly recommend Compassionate Heart and the service offered by Dr. Jessica.
    Sincerely,
    Patti and Lindsey

  24. I can’t say enough about good things about having my fur baby taken care of at home. My family and I were able to spend time with our dog Cash and didn’t feel the need to hide our emotions. We were also able to let our other dogs visit with Cash when he had passed. We didn’t want to have to put our sweet baby down but it was time. At 11 he was very old for a lab and was having a difficult time moving around and was starting to become confused. We were very afraid he would get out of the yard when he was outside and get lost. I called to schedule an apt and was contacted within an hour and scheduled within a few days. As hard as it was to make the decision to put Cash to sleep doing it at home made it so much easier.

  25. Dr. Jessica Kriner came to our house to assist our dog, Kelly, on a Sunday with 3-hours notice. Kelly was our 16 and a half year old terrier. She’d been having some trouble the day before, but on Saturday night, her health declined rapidly. The expression I use is: “she fell off a cliff”. On Sunday morning at 9:00am, I communicated with Dr. Jessica and indicated that Kelly was suffering and therefore, could she come today? The answer was yes. Dr. Jessica was kind, patience, thorough. Besides for attempting a pitiful little bark (always the terrier, to the very end) at this new person in her house, Kelly felt no discomfort as far as I could tell. She died with the four of us all petting her back and her forehead. I cannot imagine hauling her to the Vet’s office (a place she didn’t really enjoy) at her time of extreme need. I’m forever thankful that we chose to put Kelly down here at home, on the living room floor, surrounded by her family, where she knew she was loved.

  26. Just a brief note to thank Dr. Jessica for helping our beloved Guinness to cross The Rainbow Bridge on November 4. Saying goodbye is never easy, but we are sincerely grateful for your helpful, dignified and compassionate manner during a very difficult and emotional time for both of us…and on such very short notice. Guinness was an exceptional dog, a gentle and loving family member. He will be missed but will be remembered fondly, not only by us, but by the many patients and staff members he helped as a registered hospital Therapy Dog.
    Thank you again.

  27. Dr. Alicia Harris is an amazing and caring person. Sunday November 11/15 she came to my home and helped my beloved Lilbit cross over the rainbow bridge. She was compassionate, and talked me through everything. She let me make the decision when I was ready for her to begin instead of just giving my animal the medicine and leaving. I could not have asked for anyone better in this difficult time. It has been are hard 2 months dealing with the lymphoma diagnosis and realizing no matter how bad I wanted my dog to live forever that wasn’t possible. Dr. Alicia Harris And compassionate hearts made one of the hardest decisions and days of my life easier. I can not think her enough for being there in this difficult time.

  28. Dr. Jennifer Kriner is a compassionate, kind, empathic, loving professional. Our beloved senior dog peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge as his dad held him. Dr. Jen discussed and comforted us too. This time is such a difficult one and saying good-bye to a family member is so heart-wrenching. Dr. Jen made a hard time peaceful, supportive and kind. Dr. Jen delivers a professional service that comforts.

  29. Thank you Dr Jessica for being there in my time of need. Truly appreciate your time and compassionate care especially during COVID. Your rapid response and empathetic demeanor help my Jay boy pass comfortably with dignity. Thank God for people like you. I cannot express how much your help meant to me. I have told everyone when it is time say to say goodbye to dearest pets, they should call you. Worth every penny and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  30. I can not express enough how Dr. Sondra Elson made a horrible day a little bit more tolerable for me when I needed to say goodbye to my most loyal German Shepherd Laci Ann. Although the pain would ultimately transfer to me along with incredible sadness , I knew I was making the right decision .
Dr. Elson from the very beginning explained every step of what was to happened to my beloved Laci Ann {Momma}. Not having children she was my child. She spent her life caring for many other a role she took on on her own. Dr. Elson was extremely professional showed an incredible amount of empathy and compassion to both Laci and I.
Dr. Elson I truly thank you with every fiber of my soul. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy , and especially the care and gentleness you showed my baby.
    Patrik J. Allinson

  31. Dr. Rachel,
There aren’t enough ways to thank you for what you did for Narvel and myself. I received your card and was moved by your kindness. Your professionalism and compassion will never be forgotten.
    My Sincerest Gratitude, Ron

  32. Thankyou once again for your kind help in the passing of Lena. Such a difficult decision was eased with such a gentle passing…this was truly a blessing to all that were present.
    Thank You

  33. Dr. Sondra, thank you so very much for your truly wonderful services. Our 16 year old cat was able to transition at home in her own favorite bed where she was most at ease and where I could comfort her. You made such a difficult time bearable and put me at ease that I made the right decision at the right time. You were able to come out on a Sunday and that was so much appreciated so we had time to grieve without any other responsibilities hindering us and able to only focus on our beloved baby girl. She deserved only the best and we were able to give her peace in a calm environment that she was familiar with because of you. You are an angel sent to help us take the very best care of our babies till the very end. Thank you for everything you did for us.

  34. Dr Jessica
We are sitting here totally bereft at the loss of our beloved Chewy.
However the manner in which you helped him transition made the whole process much better. To have that level of care on a dog you have never met before was unbelievable.
To give him his peace in the home environment instead of a cold harsh vet practice made it more tolerable. You gave us all the explanations, gave us time alone and made sure we were comfortable in the whole thing.
Our hearts are truly broken but the service you gave us we could not have asked for more for Chewy.
    Thank you for everything

  35. We cannot put into words how much we appreciated Dr. Sondra Elson and her loving approach to our very gut-wrenching decision to say goodbye to our adorable CeCe. We watched CeCe’s health decline very rapidly over a two month period and we knew each day she was struggling. Our hope was that she would fall asleep and choose not to wake each day but she did. It was heartbreaking to watch her suffer with pain, fear, and anxiety as her body failed to cooperate. Dr. Elson was like an angel who came to our home to help our CeCe find peace. Dr. Elson was kind, soft-spoken, and extremely professional during an awful time in our lives. The card we received from Dr. Elson was a reminder that our girl is never far from us as long as we have her in our hearts. Deepest Gratitude, Jeff and Marty

  36. I cannot say enough about Dr. Rachel and her kindness. Her compassion and empathy during this most difficult time was very much needed. Having lost my mom in the last 4 months and watching my best friend, Scout, failing at the same time was quite stressful. I’m grateful that I was referred to Compassionate Heart and Dr. Rachel and was able to be with Scout in our home for a peaceful and calm passing. I knew I had to make this decision and follow through and Dr. Rachel’s calmness and presence made an unbearable situation bearable. Thank you for your kindness.

  37. Dr. Jessica came to our house to help us free our dog Ruckus from pain. She even able to come sooner that originally planned because Ruckus took a sudden turn for the worse during the night. She was very compassionate and understanding. She gently helped Ruckus over the rainbow bridge in his own backyard listening to the birds and feeling the warm sun on his back to meet his sister Izzy (they were litter mates). Dr Jessica helped us with Izzy 9 months prior and it wasn’t a question who we would call when we needed help with Ruckus. Dr. Jessica remembered Izzy and even mentioned that they would have matching urns. Funny how little things like that mean so much. If you are on the fence about whether to do this at home or not. Definitely at home. So much easier for all involved and Dr. Jessica explains everything and it all is so peaceful. Thank you again Dr. Jessica you certainly have a gift.

  38. My husband and I want to express our gratitude for all of the kindness and guidance we received from Dr. Rachel/Compassionate Heart. My husband and I recently made the extremely difficult decision to put our elderly Siberian Husky, Nala, to sleep and Dr. Rachel was understanding and communicative throughout the process. We particularly appreciated how she provided us with all of the necessary information and checked in with us every step of the way to make sure we were ready to proceed. We did not feel rushed in any way and the whole process was extremely respectful and supportive to us, Nala, and our other pets. We were given time to privately say goodbye to our girl and Dr. Rachel took care of all of the after arrangements. Compassionate Heart & Dr. Rachel made a very difficult day/time as seamless as possible. Thank you so much for what you do!

  39. Our family wanted to send our gratitude for the assistance and support that Dr. Jessica provided for our most loved furry family member. She was struggling so much with a horrible degenerative illness but Dr. Jessica was able to help her achieve peace from the illness. She was amazingly compassionate through through all of our communications and the entire process. Everything was explained and performed with so much respect for our precious girl. She was able to be home in her favorite spot with the whole family and had no fear. We appreciate everything that was done to help her end the suffering she had. Dr. Jessica helped make our difficult decision much easier by knowing it was handled with so much compassion and peace. Thank you for helping her dream of those pink elephants. We are so grateful.

  40. We can’t thank Dr. Jessica enough for all the support & care you provided to our family during this difficult time. You took the time to explain the process and were very mindful of my grandchildren present and explaining things on their level. The dignity given to our fur baby during this process was exceptional, especially since this was my grandchildren’s first experience with death. Our precious Meka was with us for almost 14 years and was struggling to walk due to hip displacement which is common for her breed (German Shepherd/Rottweiler Mix). It was a tough decision for my family to come to but having her cross over the Rainbow Bridge in our home with her family around her was the best choice for both her and our family. She will surely be missed but will forever be in our hearts. We would highly recommend Compassionate Heart & Dr. Jessica to anyone who is in need of their services!
    Thank You Again!
    Parry-Miller Family

  41. We had never had an in-home euthanasia before. Dr Jessica was very reassuring. She explained the procedure and gave my nervous dog time to relax and get to know her. She proceeded with each step only when we were ready. This made for a very gentle, peaceful passing for my dog, for which I am grateful. Thank you to Dr Jessica and Compassionate Heart.

  42. A few months ago, Dr. Jessica came to my house to help my amazing senior kitty, Ralphie, find his way to the Rainbow Bridge. She was so compassionate and sincere to both of us, and the experience was so touching. I am forever grateful to Dr. Jessica for her loving heart for animals and people. Thank you so very much.

  43. On Friday of this past week, Dr. Jessica came to my house to help my sweet 18 1/2 year old cat, Princess, pass over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Jessica was very gentle, compassionate and informative. She answered all my questions and explained the entire procedure. The procedure was very peaceful for Princess and myself. It is still so hard for me to talk about, as I miss her so much. She was my constant companion. I am so grateful that this is the route I took as my sweet kitty is not suffering any more and Dr. Jessica was wonderful. Thank you so much.

  44. I had to make the difficult decision of getting my 18 1/2 year old cat, Princess, euthanized. I contacted Dr. Jessica and she came to our home. She was very informative, very compassionate and the process was so sad, yet so peaceful. Princess passed over the bridge on her favorite spot on the couch with me next to her. I was so glad that I chose Dr. Jessica. I will never get over the loss of my Princess; however, Dr. Jessica made the experience much easier.

  45. My wife and I would like to thank Dr. Jessica coming to our home and given our beloved Dale a peaceful journey to the Rainbow Bridge. To allow our loved furry family members to pass peacefully at home in their favorite spot, with their favorite toy, or whatever made them happy, we very much appreciate the service you and the other Doctors at Compassionate Heart provide.
    Thank You
John n Sue and of course Dale

  46. We want to thank Dr. Jessica for her amazing comfort and support during a very difficult time. We lost our Mia in October 2022 and it is still hard to write or talk about it. But Dr. Jessica was an angel. Dr. Jessica even understood us delaying her visit a day so we could spend all day with our Mia. We were concerned how our Mia would be with Dr. Jessica because she did not always warm up to new people right away. Dr. Jessica came in and was able to talk to her with warmth and comfort in her voice and Mia trusted her immediately. It was truly amazing to watch. Dr. Jessica also allowed us to explain Mia’s health issues which included seizures over an 18 month period, all the medicine she was on and her loss of mobility. Dr. Jessica was concerned about the seizures and made sure she took all the precautions necessary so Mia would not have another one with the medicines she would be using. I don’t know if anyone else would have taken that amount of care. We were so thankful. We were able to surround Mia with family, have her in her favorite bed and give her her favorite treats. It was truly the most peaceful experience we could have ever imagined. I wish we would have known Dr. Jessica with all of our other animals. Never did we imagine that Dr. Jessica would have turned out to be the angel we needed to take care of our girl. We knew that Mia would be running, like she loved to do, once she crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and we can’t wait to meet with her again and play catch! She ran so fast in our yard and just loved to play and was the best family member to us all but especially to my son who slept with her the first night we had her as a puppy and for 12 years since. So many games of catch in the back yard and building her snow paths to run through, we just have the best memories. Mia, we never wanted to see you sick or to lose your ability to walk and run. These are the times when it is so hard to do what is best for our babies. We are just so thankful that this truly difficult time was made so peaceful by the special doctors at Compassionate Hearts and especially Dr. Jessica. You never treated her as a dog but as the precious family member she was to us. You are an amazing person and there are no words to tell you how much we appreciate everything you did for us and for our Mia! We are truly blessed, thank you! The Fluhler family and our Mia!
